Governor Names Five New Members to Film Commission

Gov. Pete Wilson named five new members to the California Film Commission, started in 1985 to support the state’s motion picture industry. They include Harmony Holdings Chief Financial Officer Mark Hubbard, Dryer Productions executive Linda R. Dryer, TV producer Marie G. Kelley, Fields Entertainment partner Leonard F. Hill and Pacific Star Productions President Joseph A. Destein.
Film
Carlotta Florio has been promoted to vice president of special projects for Columbia Pictures.
Florio will continue to oversee special events for the studio, including premieres, industry screenings and awards shows. She previously was executive director of special projects.
Music
Richard Rowe will head Sony Music Publishing worldwide.
Rowe, who was president of Sony Music International Music Publishing, will oversee domestic and international publishing operations and publishing interests within affiliate companies.
