3 Local Teams Play for Area Legion Title

Three local American Legion teams will begin play Thursday in the double-elimination Area 6 playoffs at UCLA’s Jackie Robinson Stadium.
District 20 champion Woodland Hills West (23-4) will meet District 16 champion Ventura (18-5) at 6 p.m. District 20 runner-up Woodland Hills East (18-9) will face Beverly Hills (15-2) at 10 a.m.
Claremont (35-9-2) will meet Westchester (19-3) at 2 p.m.
The playoffs will conclude Sunday with the crowning of the Area champion, which earns a berth in the state tournament in Yountville.
