The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between July 19 and 25:
Glendale
West Mountain Street, 1600 block--Thieves broke into a park recreation room and stole board games and a purse valued together at $70 in a theft discovered July 19.
South Glendale Avenue, 1100 block--A thief posing as a customer in a convenience store grabbed a broom, threatened to hit the clerk with it, then stole $50 from the cash register and an unknown number of lottery tickets at 1:55 a.m. July 19.
Outlook Lane, 1100 block--Thieves took a chandelier and cans of spray paint valued together at $1,030 at 2:30 a.m. July 21.
East Broadway, 1100 block--Showing the butt of a gun in his waistband, a thief stole $75 from a convenience store at 2:33 a.m. July 21.
East Garfield Avenue, 1200 block--Thieves entered a church kitchen and stole food items and a cassette player valued together at $220 between July 21 and 22.
San Fernando Road, 4400 block--Thieves with a knife demanded money from a man; he refused and was beaten and stabbed at 8:30 p.m. July 22.
La Canada Flintridge
Oakwood Avenue, 4700 block--A man posing as a city window washer gained entry to a senior citizen’s home, after which the woman discovered $80 missing from her purse at 11:30 a.m. July 20.
Foothill Boulevard, 600 block--A cellular phone valued at $800 was stolen from an unlocked car between 11:30 and 11:55 p.m. July 20.
Daleridge Road, 4800 block--Thieves cut a chain to steal a lawnmower valued at $900 from the back of a truck between 1 and 2 p.m. July 22.
Atwater Village
San Fernando Road, 3200 block--After climbing over a wall, thieves entered an office through an unlocked door and stole computer equipment valued at $4,000 between July 22 and 23.
Weldon Avenue, 3100 block--Thieves entered a residence through an open window and stole a TV and video equipment valued together at $1,910 between 7:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 23.
Eagle Rock
Neola Street and Neola Place--Threatening to kill, a thief with a gun stole a man’s wallet containing $40 at 10:35 p.m. July 20.
Yosemite Drive, 1600 block--With one thief simulating a gun, others stole beer valued at $170 from a mini-market at 4:30 p.m. July 21.
Fair Park Avenue, 1800 block--Thieves pried open a front door then ransacked the residence and stole $1,145 and credit cards between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. July 21.
Colorado Boulevard, 1700 block--Thieves pried open a door to a fast-food restaurant’s electrical room, then dug through the drywall to steal $40 at 8 a.m. July 22.
Hartwick Street, 5200 block--Entering through an unlocked front door, thieves stole a gun and other property valued together at $405 between 8 and 10 p.m. July 24.
Echo Park
Sunset Boulevard and Elysian Park Avenue--A thief forced a man to remove his clothing, then took $320 and the man’s car at 12:05 a.m. July 19.
Allesandro Street, 1300 block--Thieves with a knife pulled a woman into their car and forced her to take them to her residence, where they stole cash and jewelry valued together at $840 at 9:30 p.m. July 19.
Loma Vista Place, 2300 block--Entering through a side window, thieves stole business machines valued at $1,200 from a residence between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. July 22.
Sunset Boulevard and Douglas Street--Thieves with a knife stole a man’s wallet containing credit cards and $130 at 1:15 p.m. July 24.
Glassell Park
Toland Way, 3800 block--After removing the screen to an open window, thieves entered a residence and stole video equipment and jewelry valued together at $1,100 between 7:40 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. July 20.
Division Street, 3500 block--Thieves pried open a rear window and stole a radio and computer equipment valued together at $4,860 from a residence at 4:30 p.m. July 21.
Highland Park
Meridian Street, 5500 block--Approaching a woman as she sat in her car, a thief began to ask for directions, then stole her purse containing credit cards and $30 from the passenger seat at 7:25 a.m. July 19.
Range View Avenue, 5600 block--Thieves removed the screen on an open window, then entered a residence and stole video and camera equipment valued together at $1,510 between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 20.
Avenue 57 and Marmion Way--Thieves hit a man with a pipe, then stole cash and jewelry valued together at $1,106 at 10:05 p.m. July 20.
Avenue 56 and Monte Vista Street--A thief grabbed a woman around the neck and stole her purse containing cash and jewelry valued together at $122 at 5:50 a.m. July 21.
North Figueroa Street, 6400 block--A thief ordered a soft drink from a fast-food restaurant, and when the register opened, pulled a gun on the clerk and stole $40 at 5:25 p.m. July 21.
North Figueroa Street, 5800 block--After posing as a customer, a thief displayed a gun and stole $149 at 2:40 p.m. July 23.
Los Feliz
North Alexandria Avenue, 1700 block--A thief held a man at gunpoint until his bank opened, then forced him to withdraw $240, and also forced him to have cash wired to him from his family through Western Union between 4:50 a.m. and noon July 20.
Hollywood Boulevard, 5000 block--Thieves broke the side window of a fast-food restaurant, then stole property valued at $1,760 between July 20 and 21.
Vermont Avenue, 1100 block--Pointing a rifle, a thief entered a fastfood restaurant and stole $60 at 12:30 a.m. July 21.
Santa Monica Boulevard and Madison Avenue--Thieves with an ice pick stole $200 from three people and stabbed them at 8:30 p.m. July 24.
Mount Washington
North Figueroa Street, 3300 block--Possibly using a key, thieves entered a junior high school and stole a radio valued at $1,000 between July 21 and 22.
Roseview Avenue, 3600 block--Forcing open the window of a business/garage, thieves entered and stole tools valued at $1,340 between July 21 and 22.
Olancha Drive, 1200 block--Thieves smashed a rear window and stole video equipment and business machines valued at $1,050 between 4:30 and 10 p.m. July 23.
Silver Lake
Rotary Drive, 1800 block--While one thief held a gun on a man, a second thief stole his wallet containing $200 at 9:10 p.m. July 19.
Micheltorena Street, 2200 block--Thieves put a gun to a woman’s head and stole her purse containing $120 at 5 p.m. July 20.
Panorama Terrace, 2200 block--A thief came up behind a woman and grabbed her purse containing $195 at 8:20 a.m. July 21.
Silverado Drive, 3100 block--After pointing a gun at a man and demanding his money, thieves went inside the man’s residence, stealing $85 at 9:30 p.m. July 21.
Tracy Street and Hyperion Avenue--Thieves snatched a woman’s briefcase containing a calculator, bracelet, keys, watch, knife, cash and stamps valued together at $327 between 9:25 and 9:30 a.m. July 22.
Evans Street, 3700 block--Thieves with a gun stole cash and jewelry valued at $230 at 4:30 p.m. July 22.
Silverwood Terrace, 1500 block--After following a woman to her residence, thieves displayed a gun and stole cash and jewelry valued together at $665 at 9:30 p.m. July 23.
Glendale and Silver Lake Boulevards--As a man entered his car, thieves with a gun escorted him to an automated banking machine and forced him to withdraw $300 at 9:45 p.m. July 23.
Monon Street, 3600 block--Thieves confronted two people and stole jewelry and telephone equipment valued at $65 at 10:40 p.m. July 23.
Riverside Drive, 2800 block--Thieves with a dagger stole $570 between 12:01 and 12:30 a.m. July 24.
Elevado Street, 1400 block--Thieves with a gun stole cash and jewelry valued together at $925 from four people at 4 p.m. July 24.
Silverwood Terrace, 1700 block--As a man parked his car, thieves pulled up next to him, pointed a gun and stole $35 at 3:50 p.m. July 24.
