JEFFERSON PARK : Free Job-Training Program to Begin

The Good Works Job Training Center begins its fall program of free training Monday at Trinity Baptist Church, 2040 W. Jefferson Blvd.

The center offers entry-level training in food service, word processing and computer literacy, janitorial and maintenance service, child-care assistance, in-home services and warehouse shipping and receiving.

Classes are three mornings a week for 13 weeks. Graduates receive assistance in job placement.

The program also includes orientation, job readiness training, on-the-job training, reading and writing comprehension, individual counseling and follow-up services for up to one year.
