Plane Victims Were at Health Plan Briefing

MARSHALL, Va. — A small plane crashed while attempting an emergency landing, killing two people reportedly heading home after a briefing on the Clinton Administration’s health care plan.
The single-engine Piper Cherokee clipped treetops before crashing Friday, officials said. The Washington Post reported that the victims were Stanley Heard, a chiropractor from Hot Springs, Ark., and Steven Dickson, a lawyer from Topeka, Kan., who had attended a briefing in the Washington area on the health care plan.
