Clippers Sign Forward Tom Tolbert

The Clippers signed free-agent forward Tom Tolbert to a contract Friday, believed to be worth $2.5 million over three years.
Tolbert, 6 feet 7 and 240 pounds, has averaged 7.2 points and 4.5 rebounds in his five-year NBA career. He played for the Orlando Magic last season, averaging 8.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 72 games.
Before that he played for Golden State and Charlotte.
A Long Beach native, Tolbert helped lead Lakewood High to the Southern Section 4-A title in 1982. After attending UC Irvine and Cerritos College, Tolbert transferred to Arizona and helped the Wildcats reach the 1988 Final Four.
