The Dodgers have taken action to help ensure that Darren Dreifort, their No. 1 draft pick, will not have a recurring knee problem.
“We had him checked out by Dr. (Frank) Jobe before the draft, and we think we discovered what caused the problem,” said Charlie Blaney, Dodger minor league director. “All we have done is have him stretch out with his landing leg longer before planting his foot.”
