Adidas America Chief Dies in Germany: Robert Strasser, chairman and chief executive of Adidas America, died in a Munich hospital after collapsing while attending a company meeting in Germany, the German-based parent company said Sunday. A statement by Adidas’ headquarters at Herzogenaurach said Strasser, 46, fell ill while attending an international sales meeting at the alpine retreat of Sonthofen. During the mid-1980’s, Strasser teamed up with Peter Moore to create the Air Jordan and Nike Air campaigns for Nike Inc. In 1987 they formed Sports Inc., which last February was purchased to form the new Adidas America.
