Video game-maker T-HQ posted a $2.2-million, third-quarter net loss despite a 13% increase in sales. Its profits were hurt by having to lower prices to sell its older games.
The Calabasas-based company’s loss for the three months ended Sept. 30 contrasts with net income of $220,000 in the same period a year ago. Sales in the quarter climbed to $6.9 million from $6.1 million in 1992’s third quarter.
For the nine months, T-HQ reported a net loss of $5.7 million, contrasted with net income of $1.4 million in the year-earlier period. Sales edged up 1%, to $24.2 million from $23.9 million a year ago.
