In another Marmonte League game:
Camarillo 24, Thousand Oaks 19--The Lancers had two chances to win in the final 1 minute 31 seconds but host Camarillo held both times (5-5, 3-4).
Thousand Oaks (2-7-1, 2-4-1) pulled within 24-19 on a one-yard scoring run by Frank Coletta with 4:25 to play but its final two drives stalled. Camarillo’s Ryan Bourget broke up a pass on fourth down with 1:23 to play and Jason Mastro recovered a fumble a minute later.
Senior fullback Darren Hatch carried 20 times for 104 yards, including a 28-yard touchdown run, for the Scorpions.
Thousand Oaks quarterback Jason Brown was 17 for 30 for 237 yards and touchdown plays of 60 yards to Josh Pace and five yards to Chris Casillas.
