Analyst review: “Wynn’s third-quarter report made for interesting reading, with earnings up 26% over third quarter 1992. It was recently announced that Mario Gabelli, a major investor, increased his stake in Wynn’s to more than 20% of its shares. This could be perceived by investors as a vote of confidence in the company’s future. Wynn’s makes an excellent line of products and has a strong franchise base. It is well positioned to benefit if the upswing in the automotive industry predicted for 1994-1995 comes to pass. It’s too early to issue a report card, but there is plenty of upside potential for its latest product, a kit that converts automobile air conditioning units from Freon to a replacement substance.”

Corporate outlook: “I am encouraged by our continued strong financial performance despite slower than expected economic recovery in the United States and the lingering recession in Europe. Earnings per share in the fourth quarter of 1993 are expected to be approximately the same as the relatively strong fourth quarter of 1992--after adjustment for the effect of the 3-for-2 stock split.”
