Bowl-Bound Cal Defeats Hawaii, 42-18 : College football: Chapman scores four times for Bears, who appear headed for the Alamo Bowl.

HONOLULU — Lindsey Chapman scored four touchdowns in leading California to a 42-18 victory over Hawaii on Saturday night.
With the victory, the Golden Bears (8-4) are expected to be invited to the Alamo Bowl. The Rainbows dropped to 5-6 with one game left.
Chapman carried 30 times for 147 yards and three touchdowns. He caught four passes for 17 yards and one score.
Chapman put the game away early in the fourth quarter, scoring on a 12-yard pass from Dave Barr to put the Bears up 35-18. Chapman followed with a 17-yard touchdown run through the middle of the Rainbow defense to complete the scoring.
Trailing, 28-10, at halftime, Hawaii attempted to rally with an 80-yard touchdown drive to open the second half. A four-yard touchdown run by Ivin Jasper and a two-point conversion pass by Cy Hirota made the score, 28-18.
But Chapman helped the Bears resume their first-half dominance with his two fourth-quarter scores.
Cal fell behind, 3-0, on Carlton Oswalt’s 47-yard field goal before scoring 21 unanswered points to take control of the game.
Barr completed 21 of 25 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowns.
