Disney Rethinking History Park Plan: Walt Disney Co. Chairman Michael Eisner says he may scrap plans to build an American history theme park in Virginia if the state’s legislature doesn’t approve the use of taxes to help pay for a $30-million highway interchange and other improvements near the park’s site, the Washington Post reported. Disney reportedly will delay purchasing land for the park, which is scheduled to open in 1998. Opponents say Disney is asking for too much public money for the park, the report said. Disney announced plans for the 1,200-acre park in November.
