Takeover Brewing at Mr. Coffee: The manufacturer of automatic drip coffee makers said a potential buyer has asked to begin talks on a takeover of the Cleveland-based company. The bidder was not identified. Peter Howell, president and chief executive, said the discussions are preliminary. The company, which also makes other countertop kitchen appliances, had not decided on its response, he said.
