Flint Morrison has been installed as president of the California School Personnel Commissioners Assn. at the group’s annual conference in Burlingame recently.
The state association is made up of more than 90 “merit system” school districts throughout the state.
Morrison, 62, said the merit system determines the promotion of many non-teaching school employees through oral and written tests designed to determine the merit of the individual.
The state association conducts training and development sessions for local chapters and helps solve difficulties that may arise, Morrison said.
A former administrator in the Anaheim Union High School District, Morrison has been on the Ocean View School District Personnel Commission for 14 years.
He also is a news anchor and script writer for the Huntington Beach Channel 3 News over cable television.
