Saudi Plane Order Reportedly Set: President Clinton will announce today the long-awaited, $6-billion sale of Boeing and McDonnell Douglas airliners to Saudi Arabia, said an administration official who asked not to be identified. The Saudis tentatively agreed last August to buy at least 50, perhaps 75 of the planes, but the order was held up while the Saudis and five U.S. contractors worked out a restructuring of about $9 billion worth of planned sales.
