LAKE FOREST — A 75-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease was found in Lake Havasu on Wednesday evening, one day after leaving home on an errand.
Sheriff’s deputies said Ernest William Constable had recently moved to Lake Forest and became confused and disoriented while searching for a hardware store Tuesday afternoon.
After wandering in the Saddleback Valley area for 2 1/2 hours, Constable filled his car’s gas tank and drove to a mobile home that he and his wife owned in Lake Havasu.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, family members contacted friends in the mobile home park and found that Constable was safe.
