Circus Circus Enterprises Inc. announced the resignation of William G. Bennett as chief executive of the Las Vegas-based resort firm.
The company said it named Clyde T. Turner to succeed Bennett as CEO. Turner, 57, will retain his current post as president, the company said, and Bennett will continue serving as chairman.
Turner joined the company as president and chief financial officer in February, 1993, after serving as chief financial officer of Mirage Resorts Inc. for 14 years.
In a release, Circus Circus said Bennett will continue to assist Turner and the rest of the company on “a wide range of management and operational issues.”
