IRVINE — A 60-year-old Mission Viejo man died Thursday after the car he was driving went off the road at the intersection of Barranca Parkway and Corporate Park, struck two trees and rolled over, police said.
John M. Quigley died about an hour after he arrived at Irvine Medical Center, police investigator Doug Coffing said.
Quigley’s wife, who was a passenger in the 1986 Buick, was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana for treatment of possible head, neck and chest pains.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident, but Coffing said Quigley might have suffered some type of medical emergency while driving.
