Doubletree Owners File Chapter 11: A limited partnership based in Irvine that built and owns the 215-room Doubletree Hotel near Los Angeles International Airport has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. European Hotel Investors II, composed of about 15 investors, listed assets of $10 million and debts of $12 million. “The partnership is trying to restructure obligations to the bank to work out longer term financing,” said Irvine attorney Alan J. Friedman, who represents the partnership.
