Lampkin Finds His Slot at Montana State

Vince Lampkin, a slotback at Valley College, has signed to play at Montana State, Monarch Coach Jim Fenwick said Friday.
Lampkin, a former Birmingham High quarterback who played two seasons ago at Ventura College, caught 43 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns last season.
Santa Ana Mater Dei’s Pete Silvey has committed to play football at Cal State Northridge. Silvey, a 6-foot-4, 225-pounder from Mission Viejo, is an outside linebacker and tight end.
Basketball
The American Roundball Corp. has scheduled registration for its spring development league for boys and girls in grades 7-12. Sign-ups are Sunday and again March 20 from 11 a.m. to noon at North Hollywood High and from 3 to 4 p.m. at Camarillo High.
