Wrestling--Some information concerning the all-county team was incorrect in Tuesday’s edition of The Times Orange County. Capistrano Valley’s Alec Laidlaw finished first at 160 pounds in the Southern Section Division I finals and lost in the State quarterfinals, 12-10. Calvary Chapel’s Dane Valdez (125) was section Division III champion.

Division I Southern Section champion. Entered State tournament as eighth-ranked wrestler and surprised everyone by defeating the top-seeded athlete in a semifinal default and finishing second.
RICH HARVEY

TEAK SATO

ED MOSLEY
Weight: 152 pounds
School: Calvary Chapel, Jr.
Won everywhere except at Iron Man and Five Counties. Mosley (47-2) has a 4.0 GPA and was the State Greco champion. In 1993, he was sixth at State; this year, he won the final, 12-4.

JESSE LIU

Sea View League and section Division III champion and Masters eighth-placer finisher lost at State in the first round, 12-2, but won two consolation matches before losing by a pin.
