Fluor Unit Sees Vietnam Prospects: Fluor Daniel Inc., the first U.S. construction firm to open offices in Vietnam, is eyeing possible projects in oil and gas refining and petrochemicals production, the company’s manager for Vietnam said. The construction and engineering unit of Irvine-based Fluor Corp. is also negotiating to build Vietnam’s first high-technology industrial park in Ho Chi Minh City, Buck Titsworth said. Fluor Daniel received licenses March 3 to open offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Fluor Daniel is focusing its initial efforts in Vietnam on construction opportunities in the oil and gas industry, Titsworth said.
