Campus groups at Rancho Alamitos High School are continuing to seek donations to help the family of a student who was killed earlier this month, officials said.
Through bake sales or other events, students have raised more than $1,500 to help the family of Moukda Chounlamany, Principal Tom Robins said.
“The outpouring of emotion and support from the community has been just tremendous. We’re thankful for the overwhelming support in a very difficult time,” he said.
The popular football player was killed in a knife attack March 8. He was 18.
Robins said that donations may be sent to the school, 11351 Dale St., Garden Grove, Calif. 92641.
