McElderry comes to Saddleback from Northern Ireland. He and his family were on vacation in Southern California two years ago when he decided he wanted to return to Southern California to go to college and play golf. Saddleback Coach Bill Cunerty is thrilled with the decision. McElderry has been a strong member of the team all season, including shooting three-under 69 to win the San Diego Golf Invitational at Whispering Palms Country Club Friday. He also was medalist earlier in the week in an Orange Empire Conference match.
Other notables:
* Israel Gonzalez, Cypress, had five hits, including three doubles and a home run, as Cypress won three games to move into a first-place tie.
