Superior Industries Reports Record 1st-Quarter Profit

Superior Industries International Inc., a Van Nuys-based supplier of cast aluminum wheels, reported a record profit and record revenues for its first quarter that ended March 31.
The company’s profit was $12.5 million, up 24% from $10.1 million in the same period last year. Revenue in the latest quarter rose to $105.9 million, up 8% compared with $98.1 million in the same period a year ago.
The company attributed the gain to growth in sales of aluminum wheels to Ford and General Motors.
