Laguna Niguel Surfer Is Second at Pismo Beach

Pat O’Connell of Laguna Niguel finished second Sunday at the Body Glove Bud Surf Tour stop in Pismo Beach.
Chris Brown of Santa Barbara won the event and $4,000. O’Connell won $2,000. Taylor Knox of Carlsbad was third, Rob Machado of Cardiff was fourth and Vince De La Pena of Laguna Niguel was fifth.
Ted Robinson of Manhattan Beach won the longboarding competition and Josh Baxter of San Clemente was second.
