Playtime at Credit Union: Parents aren’t likely to hear their children begging to be taken to the bank, but the kids may be glad to tag along for a trip to the Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union.
The Santa Ana credit union, the state’s third largest, has installed play areas for children at five of its six locations and has stocked the areas with educational toys donated by Lakeshore Learning Materials in Fountain Valley.
“The play centers are visible from both the teller lines and the loan department, so parents can keep an eye on their children,” said Gayeann L. Gwynn, the credit union’s marketing vice president.
The only branch without a children’s area is the Fountain Valley office, which is not only the credit union’s busiest branch but is also in the same shopping center where a Lakeshore store is located, she said.
