FULLERTON : Inspector to Speak on Wildlife Trade

An inspector for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Department of the Interior will speak at Cal State Fullerton about illegal wildlife trade and how it affects endangered species.
Inspector Sheila Einsweiler will give a presentation Wednesday about animals that are threatened by poaching. In addition to animals threatened with extinction abroad--such as rhinos, tigers and elephants--Einsweiler will talk about how California’s black bear is affected by the sale of bear parts in Asia.
The forum is sponsored by a new 30-member environmental club, the Cal State Fullerton Wildlife Conservation Group, as well as the university’s anthropology department and Anthropology Students Assn.
Einsweiler will speak at 4 p.m. in Cal State Fullerton’s McCarthy Hall, Room 264. The presentation is free. For more information, call (714) 871-1794 or (714) 773-2765.
