License Plate Holder Sales to Benefit Arts

Artist Wayne Thiebaud has collaborated with San Diego’s Visual Asylum to design a license plate holder that reads “State of the Arts” in bold white letters on a deep blue background.
The holder was commissioned by the California Confederation for the Arts and proceeds will support campaigns for increased arts education and funding for the arts.
The holder sells for $12 and can be used with regular license plates or with California Arts Council arts plates also designed by Thiebaud and available from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
