LANCASTER — Four men robbed an Antelope Valley jewelry store Friday of diamond rings, bracelets and necklaces worth $500,000, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies reported.
The men, two of them armed with handguns, stole more than 800 items from Barry’s Jewelers in the Target Plaza on West Avenue K about 11:30 a.m., said Deputy Will Roemermann of the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The jewelry was taken along with $200 in cash, he said. The men drove off in a white Jeep Cherokee with Arizona license plates, according to witnesses.
No employees were hurt in the robbery and no customers were in the store, Roemermann said.
A witness wrote down the car’s license plate number and gave it to police, he said, but no suspects have been arrested.
