HUNTINGTON BEACH : Golden West Nursing Program Honored

Golden West College’s nursing program has been named the best occupational education program in the state in annual awards announced recently.
“This award means that of all the occupational programs in California’s 107 community colleges, our nursing program this year was picked as the best,” said Wendy Weber, public information director at Golden West.
“There are many occupational programs nominated for the award, including administration of justice programs, auto technology and aircraft maintenance.”
The California Community College Assn. for Occupational Education made the selection.
Weber said the statewide association favorably cited Golden West’s nursing program for “its outstanding placement record, curriculum and faculty.”
