In an effort to speed economic recovery from the Jan. 17 earthquake, business owners from Canoga Park and Reseda will attend a revitalization workshop on June 3 and June 4.
The workshop, which was announced by Councilwoman Laura Chick, will address issues of economic revitalization, community cleanup, landscaping, crime and safety and historic preservation in the central business districts of Canoga Park and Reseda.
Ken Bernstein, spokesperson for Chick said the focus will primarily be economic.
Expecting a high level of participation, Tom Hillborn, president of the Reseda Chamber of Commerce, said, “Part of what will make this very successful is the timing of it. The area is in massive devastation. . . . Everyone sees the necessities of revitalizing the area.”
