Lincoln 11, Wilson 3--Lincoln’s Cesar Castaneda went two for three with four RBIs on a fourth-inning grand slam Wednesday as the Tigers defeated Wilson at Rose Hills Playground.
Castaneda’s bases-clearing shot gave Lincoln an insurmountable 9-0 lead.
“That (pitch) had my name on it,” Castaneda said.
Although the Tigers had plenty of offense--Carlos Chacon drove in three runs on two doubles--they didn’t need it the way Wilson played defense.
The Mules, who committed nine errors, made four in the first that led to three unearned runs.
Pinch-hitter Gus Arreola put the Mules on the board in the fifth with an RBI double to center field.
