Defending champion Michael Stich of Germany and fourth-seeded Goran Ivanisevic of Croatia were upset in the third round of the Queen’s Club grass court tournament in London.
Stich, seeded second, lost, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, to 15th-seeded Jamie Morgan of Australia; Ivanisevic was beaten by Jan Apell of Sweden, 7-6 (11-9), 7-6 (7-2). Apell is ranked 127th.
