‘Lucy’ Still the Best

While watching reruns of “I Love Lucy” on KTTV Channel 11, I am still amazed at the great talent of the late Lucille Ball. There is no doubt that “I Love Lucy” is the best situation comedy of all time, followed by, in my opinion, the wonderfully clever “Beverly Hillbillies” and the clean and good “The Andy Griffith Show.”

Most of the highest-rated situation comedies of today are not of the caliber of the older programs, as most of the current ones have sexual overtones and lack basic good taste.
