Dolco Packaging Corp., a Sherman Oaks manufacturer of plastic packaging products, reported a second-quarter profit of $959,000, up 7% from its year-earlier net income of $900,000.
The company’s sales for the three months ended June 30 totaled $15.4 million, a 5% increase from its $14.7 million in sales in the second quarter of 1993.
For the six months, Dolco’s earnings rose 16% to $2.33 million from $2.01 million a year before. Its sales grew 6%, to $32.5 million from $30.5 million.
Dolco attributed the improved results to increased unit volume and a change in its product mix to include higher-priced products.
