22 Drown When Boat Capsizes in W. India

NEW DELHI — A boat on a tour of a flooded river in western India capsized, killing 22 people, including 14 schoolchildren.
The news agency Press Trust of India said Saturday that the accident occurred Friday on the Chulbandh River in the western state of Maharashtra, about 625 miles south of New Delhi. Most rivers in India are overflowing their banks after the monthlong monsoon rains.
