A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death just before midnight Sunday after a domestic fight, police said.
The victim, who lived in Anaheim, has not been identified by police.
Marco Diaz, 30, of Garden Grove was arrested on suspicion of murder, Sgt. Steve Rodig said.
Police were called to a home in the 2800 block of West Ball Road after a report of an assault on a woman by her live-in boyfriend, who fled the scene.
While investigating, authorities heard a dispute nearby between Diaz and the woman’s boyfriend, Rodig said. Rodig said Diaz is a friend of the woman.
Diaz stabbed the man and tried to flee but was arrested and was being held at the Anaheim City Jail, police said. No bail has been set, officials said.
The unidentified man was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died.
