Votes on Crime Bill
In the past 30 years more than 500,000 people have died from gunshot wounds; each year 37,000 lives are lost because of gunfire, and 150,000 individuals are wounded.
Neighborhoods are pleading for help, law enforcement officials are outgunned, but our legislators are listening to the National Rifle Assn. The next tough-on-crime speech we hear from any of the Orange County delegates who voted no, to a man, on (the crime bill) may sound a bit hollow. People want action, not words.
