Language: A Story With Rhyme and Reason

Whatever else may be dead, language is not.
But what shall we do with it?
Stand in front of each other
Hold it in boxes
Trade it like cards .
Thank you for your article (Sept. 8, Poetic Justice) covering some of the poetry venues in the South Bay. Both the writing and the photography were impressive and welcome. If there were some regular reporting of this quality on such events. . . . Well, there won’t be. But the Los Angeles Times’ occasional coverage is welcome.
Thanks to the Times for calling .
Thanks for showing where
Whatever else may be dead, language is not.
We could just use it
Someone could speak and someone could listen
It’s not often that someone listens
thanks for the pictures that froze us in poses
proving not only words live .
