Goodwill Abounds

My husband and I recently were at a busy intersection in Brea when every motorist’s nightmare occurred. Our car stalled. We quickly decided that I would go phone for help while my husband stayed and motioned traffic to go around our car.
In the short time that we were waiting for the tow truck to arrive, a policeman pulled up behind us and set out flares. After he left, 11 motorists stopped and asked if we needed any help or could they call someone for us. We were amazed at the sincerity and empathy of the individuals who simply wanted to give us a hand. They were men and women, young and old, Asian, Caucasian and Latino.
Isn’t it nice to know that with all the negativity around us, the spirit of humanity still prevails?
