Fullerton : GOP Keeps Offices After Deal Is Struck
- Share via
Bushala Brothers Inc. has decided to allow county Republicans to stay in the office space the company donated to further the party’s goals.
The company had sent the Orange County Republican Central Committee a 24-hour eviction notice Monday, but an agreement was struck Tuesday.
Anthony N. Bushala said his father, George, first thought the committee would be working for the reelection of Rep. Ed Royce (R-Fullerton). But the GOP headquarters was run by Lois Godfrey, wife of City Council candidate Peter Godfrey.
Bushala alleged that callers were being urged by the committee to support Peter Godfrey. Bushala said the family was outraged because his family supports Dave Zenger, a Republican who is challenging Peter Godfrey.
Lois Godfrey, who was serving as co-chairwoman of the committee, denied that she or any other committee member ever told callers to vote for her husband. But she resigned as part of the agreement.
