OXNARD : Workshop Offered on Raising Funds

An Oxnard financial firm will hold a workshop Tuesday on a popular fund-raising method for Ventura County nonprofit organizations.
IDS Financial Services will host a presentation by Russ Charvonia, one of its financial consultants, on “Planned Giving,” a way for nonprofit organizations to receive large gifts while donors get a tax deduction and an income for life. Most nonprofit organizations raise money through planned giving programs.
The free workshop will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the IDS offices on the 14th floor of the Union Bank Building, 300 E. Esplanade Drive. Lunch will also be provided.
