Trinity Biotech: The company said Monday that its merger with Disease Detection International Inc. in Irvine is complete. DDI shareholders approved the transaction at a meeting Oct. 14.
DDI is now a subsidiary of the Dublin, Ireland-based medical diagnostic equipment maker and will change its official name from Trinity Biotech, plc, to Trinity Biotech Inc. The companies did not disclose the terms of the sale.
The renamed DDI will maintain its marketing as well as its research and development operations in Irvine.
Trinity Biotech markets products that provide immediate testing for infectious diseases.
