Emulex Corp.: The Costa Mesa manufacturer of computer products reported profit of $669,000, or 11 cents a share, for the first fiscal quarter, ended Oct. 2. That compares with $20,000 for the year-earlier quarter. Revenue for the three-month period rose 43% to $18.5 million from $12.9 million.
