The Angels have decided not to renew Billy Sample’s contract as commentator on radio broadcasts and will replace him with Mario Impemba, director of broadcasting for the triple-A Tucson Toros.

Impemba, 32, graduated from Michigan State in 1985 and has broadcast minor league baseball the last eight years.

He will be teamed with play-by-play announcer Bob Starr.

Jack Kiefer, winner of last week’s Senior PGA Tour event, and Jerry McGee both had 66s.

About 40 football players at Wilmington College in Ohio were suspended by the coach for violating the college’s policy on use of alcohol.
