Irvine’s Tri-Lite Wins $3.4-Million Contract

IRVINE — Tri-Lite Inc. said Friday that its Prolite unit has won a $3.4-million contract to install lighting systems at the University of Maryland’s campus in College Park.
The Irvine-based lighting equipment manufacturer will install new fixtures made by two Tri-Lite subsidiaries, SPL Corp. and NL Corp.
Company President Alvin Katz said the energy-efficient equipment will save the university $1 million a year in electricity costs.
