Youth Will Be Serving for Master’s

NEWHALL — The Master’s College will start four sophomores and two juniors tonight against Southern California College in a National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics Far West regional volleyball match.
But that won’t stop Mustang women’s volleyball Coach Dean Cronk from counting on his team’s experience.
The Mustangs (27-12), seeded fourth, have played more matches this season than any team in the regional. Southern California College (17-10), which defeated the Mustangs earlier, is seeded fifth.
“There’s nothing like having experience,” Conk said. “A lot of our early matches were in tournaments but it was something we needed. I hope to draw off that tonight.”
Master’s sophomore Wendy Jones has 459 kills and Heidi Elliott has a .364 hitting percentage.
