Unemployment Tally Due to Be Released: The October jobless rate and local payroll employment statistics for Orange County are scheduled to be released today, and economy watchers say they are expecting the two reports to show at least a slight improvement in the county’s job market. The most recent unemployment rate, for September, was 6%--well below the statewide rate of 8.2% but a tick up from the county’s August jobless rate of 5.9%.
